Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, and complying with relevant laws and regulations.
The role involves preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
Handle accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice processing and payments.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
Monitor spending and budgets to assist management with financial planning.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with statutory deductions.
Maintain general ledger entries and conduct month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare tax returns, VAT filings, and assist with external audits.
Generate financial reports for management decision-making.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and controls.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2 – 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary
N200,000 / month
