Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide executive leadership for the Bank’s finance function and contribute to the achievement of its strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional financial leadership capabilities, sound commercial judgment, and extensive experience within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic financial leadership to support the Bank’s business objectives and sustainable growth.

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.

Ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.

Oversee treasury, capital management, liquidity planning, and financial risk management.

Develop and maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks.

Advise Executive Management and the Board on financial strategy, investment decisions, and overall financial performance.

Drive operational efficiency and profitability through effective financial management.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. A postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.

Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is required.

Minimum of 10 years’ post-graduate experience in Financial Management and/or Performance Management within the financial services industry.

At least five (5) years of the required experience must have been at a Senior Management level.

Candidates must have spent a minimum of three (3) years as a Senior Manager (SM) in a bank or in an equivalent grade within a non-banking financial institution.

Strong knowledge of banking operations, financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, corporate finance, and risk management.

Excellent leadership, analytical, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

Salary

N3,000,000 – N5,000,000 / Month.
