Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Communications, Engagement, Resource Mobilization, and Business Development Manager (CERBM) to drive YEDI’s communications strategy, partnerships, and growth.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll lead creative and data-driven communications, boost visibility, and foster partnerships to amplify YEDI’s impact across Nigeria

Task & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

Communications Strategy & Public Relations:

Design and implement strategic communication plans to enhance YEDI’s impact, visibility, and voice in the sector, aligning with organizational goals

Monitor, evaluate, and report on communications activities, producing insights and recommendations for stakeholders, donors, and the Board

Foster strong media relationships, pitching stories, and ensuring maximum publicity for YEDI’s work, events, and achievements

Manage reputation and crisis communications, developing response strategies and protocols to protect YEDI’s brand and reputation

Coordinate press activities, including press releases, media briefings, and press conferences

Digital Marketing & Graphic Design:

Lead multimedia production, creating documentaries, audio messages, and videos in various formats to showcase YEDI’s work and impact

Develop engaging visual content for programs, campaigns, and communications, ensuring consistency with YEDI’s brand guidelines

Manage social media presence, creating and curating content, monitoring performance, and reporting quarterly to drive engagement and growth

Design graphics, social media assets, and marketing materials that drive engagement, conversions, and brand awareness

Oversee digital fundraising activities, driving online growth, revenue, and donor engagement

Branding, Corporate Communications & Events:

Oversee production and distribution of YEDI’s branding materials (banners, T-shirts, flyers, etc.) for programs and events

Ensure brand consistency in all internal and external communications, events, and materials, maintaining YEDI’s brand integrity

Manage corporate materials and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with YEDI’s mission and values

Produce and distribute publications, including a biannual newsletter, annual reports, and other publications on time, showcasing YEDI’s impact and achievements

Partnerships & Relationship Management:

Collaborate on communications, PR, media, and branding strategies with partners, donors, and stakeholders to amplify YEDI’s impact

Foster media and stakeholder relationships, identifying opportunities for collaboration, funding, and growth

Develop engagement plans for funders, partners, and stakeholders, tailoring communications for maximum impact and relationship-building

Conduct annual stakeholder satisfaction surveys, analyzing feedback, and informing program improvements and stakeholder engagement strategies

Business Development:

Drive partnerships, funding, and growth opportunities for YEDI, identifying and pursuing strategic collaborations and revenue streams

Identify and pursue strategic collaborations with corporates, donors, and stakeholders to amplify YEDI’s impact and reach

Support proposal development and relationship management, ensuring strong partnerships and funding relationships.

Qualifications & Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, or relevant field (postgraduate degree an advantage)

3-5 years’ experience in Corporate Communications, Media/PR, or related field

Experience in fundraising, partnership, and stakeholder management, with a proven track record of success

Business development experience and network in relevant sectors, with a strong understanding of the Nigerian context

Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and CRM systems, with experience in digital marketing and social media management

Creative thinking and an ability to understand and craft messages for a diverse audience.

Good knowledge of graphics design and basic video editing skills is preferred.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders with top-notch professionalism.

 Salary

N300,000 – N350,000 per month.
