Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Editor with proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector to manage, review, and refine industry-related content for accuracy, clarity, and impact.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of energy and infrastructure reporting, excellent editorial judgment, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards.
Responsibilities

Edit, proofread, and review Oil & Gas–related content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance with editorial standards.
Ensure technical and industry-specific information is factually correct and well-presented.
Collaborate with reporters, correspondents, and content creators to improve story quality and structure.
Verify facts, data, and sources, ensuring adherence to journalistic ethics and best practices.
Develop and maintain editorial guidelines for Oil & Gas content.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and market developments to ensure content relevance.
Manage editorial timelines and ensure prompt delivery of high-quality content.
Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ editing or journalism experience, with strong exposure to the Oil & Gas / Energy sector.
Excellent command of written English, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong understanding of Oil & Gas operations, terminology, and industry trends.
High attention to detail and strong fact-checking ability.
Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in digital publishing tools and content management systems is an advantage.

Salary
N300,000 – N350,000 per month.
