Job Summary

We are hiring a sharp, proactive, and highly organized Executive Assistant (EA) to support our Managing Partner.

This is not a traditional administrative role; you will serve as a strategic partner and force multiplier, helping the Managing Partner navigate the fast-paced world of fintech education, consulting, and ecosystem building.

The ideal candidate is a master of execution who thrives in high-growth environments and possesses a deep interest in the African fintech landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support & Strategic Coordination:

Calendar Mastery: Own and optimize the Managing Partner’s dynamic calendar, managing internal team syncs, external partnerships, and thought leadership engagements.

Meeting Preparation: Prepare high-level briefings, agendas, and background research for meetings with fintech founders, regulators, and corporate partners.

Priority Management: Act as a “gatekeeper” and “gateway,” ensuring the Managing

Partner’s time is focused on high-leverage activities and strategic goals.

Accountability: Track deliverables from various departments (Training, Insights,

Community) to ensure they align with the Managing Partner’s vision and deadlines.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

Primary Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the Managing Partner, handling correspondence with professionalism and speed.

Content Creation: Draft, edit, and proofread high-quality content, including emails, industry memos, reports, and occasionally contributing to The Logue (our fintech newsletter).

Confidentiality: Manage sensitive information with the highest level of integrity and discretion.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to gather inputs forstrategic decision-making.

Project Management & Operations:

Event Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of The Paymentlogue’s flagship training programs, bootcamps, and community events.

Special Projects: Lead special projects as assigned by the Managing Partner, moving them from ideation to completion.

Travel & Logistics: Manage travel logistics for domestic and international industry conferences, including visas, accommodation, and detailed itineraries.

Systems & Productivity Optimization:

Workflow Management: Implement and manage tools (e.g., Notion, Slack, Asana,

Google Workspace) to improve the Managing Partner’s workflow and team collaboration.

Process Improvement: Proactively identify bottlenecks in executive processes and propose scalable solutions.

Requirements

Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in an Executive Assistant or high-level Project Management role, preferably within a tech startup, fintech firm, or professional services environment.

Fintech Savvy: A genuine interest in and basic understanding of the African fintech ecosystem (payments, regulation, financial inclusion).

Communication: Top-tier written and verbal communication skills; ability to represent the Managing Partner in professional settings.

Organizational Mastery: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving parts without dropping the ball.
