Location: Lekki, Lagos Job Summary The Finance Manager will oversee and manage all financial aspects of the hospital’s operations, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance with financial regulations. This includes preparing and analyzing financial reports, managing budgets, overseeing billing and collections, and ensuring timely balancing and reconciliation of HMO claims The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making to drive financial sustainability and growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and records. Manage and reconcile HMO claims and payments to ensure accuracy and completeness. Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on payments from patients, HMOs, and corporate clients. Supervise the billing and collections team to ensure proper documentation and compliance with hospital policies. Develop and implement internal control systems to safeguard hospital assets. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities. Oversee payroll administration, statutory deductions, and remittances. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and other financial laws. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies. Support management with financial insights for operational and strategic planning. Prepare and present periodic financial performance reports to management. Guide, train, and supervise finance team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is required. 5 – 7 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment. Strong knowledge of HMO billing and claims reconciliation. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. In-depth understanding of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. High level of integrity and attention to detail.
