Position Overview

The Land Surveyor will be responsible for conducting accurate land measurements and mapping to support real estate development and construction projects.

This role ensures that all site layouts, boundaries, and elevations are correctly established to guide architects, engineers, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Surveying & Mapping:

Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using GPS, GIS, and total station equipment.

Prepare detailed maps, site layouts, and land measurement reports.

Establish reference points and benchmarks for construction activities.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Interpret survey data and provide accurate information to project managers, architects, and engineers.

Prepare survey drawings, charts, and digital models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software.

Verify land titles, boundaries, and easements against legal records.

Construction Support:

Provide on-site support during excavation, foundation, and structural works.

Ensure alignment, elevation, and positioning of structures comply with design specifications.

Monitor and adjust survey controls throughout the project lifecycle.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure surveys comply with local regulations, zoning laws, and industry standards.

Maintain accurate records of survey data, maps, and project documentation.

Liaise with government agencies for permits, approvals, and land documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Professional certification/licensure as a Land Surveyor (where applicable).

Must have 3–5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in real estate or construction projects.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of surveying instruments (GPS, total station, theodolite, drones).

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS tools).

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for precise measurements.

Ability to interpret construction drawings and legal land documents.

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and site managers.

Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.

Salary Range

N300,000 – N400,000 / Month.
