Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Summary We are seeking an experienced Production / Technical Manager to lead production operations, laboratory coordination, and field-application technical activities within a structured ISO 9001:2015 environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting business demand into reliable production output, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and strengthening technical readiness to support customers and sales operations. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong operational discipline, technical depth, and people management capability within a chemicals, oilfield services, or manufacturing environment. The Role Lead production planning and scheduling to deliver reliable output while ensuring product quality, process control, and ISO 9001:2015 compliance. Provide technical leadership for field applications, customer trials, and after-sales support, while driving HSE compliance, incident investigations, and preventive actions. Champion continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, root-cause analysis, process capability enhancement) and oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, validation, and technical CAPEX planning. Manage supplier technical performance and cross-functional coordination (Procurement, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain), including technical risk assessments, non-conformance management, and corrective actions. Develop, coach, and manage production, laboratory, and technical teams while preparing operational performance reports and supporting internal/external audits. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related technical discipline Master’s Degree (advantageous). Experience: Minimum of 8 years experience in production/technical roles within chemicals, oilfield services, or manufacturing At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements; certification leadership experience preferred. Skills: Strong leadership and team development capability, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Advanced problem-solving and root-cause analysis expertise, with solid knowledge of process control and continuous improvement methodologies. Practical experience in laboratory operations, field technical support, and HSE/regulatory compliance requirements. Strong planning and organisational ability, with proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, MS Office, and production reporting tools. Application Closing Date 6th March, 2026.
