Job Purpose

The Project Manager & Engineering Lead is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex electrical and instrumentation projects.

The role combines project management leadership with technical engineering expertise, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution:

Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of electrical and instrumentation projects.

Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.

Monitor project milestones, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to scope and quality standards.

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, and vendors.

Engineering Leadership:

Provide technical guidance and oversight for electrical and instrumentation engineering activities.

Review designs, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Ensure engineering solutions are efficient, safe, and cost-effective.

Stakeholder & Client Management:

Serve as primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and risk assessments.

Address client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Risk, Quality & Compliance Management:

Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.

Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and internal quality control procedures.

Conduct project audits and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.

Engineering Leadership:

Ensure timely delivery of project milestones within budget.

Continuous Improvement & Team Development:

Drive process improvements and operational efficiency across projects.

Mentor and develop junior engineers and project coordinators.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering.

10–15 years of progressive experience managing electrical and instrumentation projects, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors.

Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.

PMP certification is a strong advantage.

Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory.

Salary

N1,500,000 monthly.
