Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to promote and enforce a culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance across our logistics operations and workshop activities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing safety policies, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring all staff adhere to established safety standards.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Conduct routine safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses across all company sites.

Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, while recommending corrective actions.

Facilitate regular safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for drivers and workshop staff.

Ensure compliance with statutory HSE regulations and company safety standards.

Maintain accurate safety documentation and prepare periodic safety performance reports for management.

Liaise with relevant agencies and authorities on occupational health and safety matters.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or related field.

3–5 years’ experience in safety management. (within logistics, haulage, or manufacturing environment is a plus)

Excellent knowledge of safety regulations, hazard management, and emergency response planning.

Strong communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.

Salary

N150,000 – N200,000 per month.
