Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial statements, managing general ledger entries, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting principles.
Conduct variance analysis and report any discrepancies or trends to senior management.
Review and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
General Ledger Management:

Over see general ledger (GL) entries and ensure proper account classification.
Reconcile all general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
Ensure proper allocation of costs to appropriate accounts and departments.
Cash Flow Management:

Over see cash flow management and ensure efficient cash position for the company.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities and report on aging
Tax & Compliance:

Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Work with auditors during annual audits to ensure financial statements are prepared and ready for review.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant local, state, and national regulations.
Internal Controls:

Design and implement internal control procedures to ensure financial integrity and mitigate risks.
Review and improve accounting procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Budgeting & Forecasting:

Prepare and monitor budgets, helping senior management with financial projections.
Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts based on company needs and market conditions.
Assist in improving accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Professional certification (e.g.,ICAN, ACA,e.t.c) is required
Minimum of 4 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxlaws, and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,QuickBooks, SAP,SAGE, orERPsystems)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Salary
N400,000 – N500,000 monthly.
