Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Purpose

The Senior Business Development Manager will drive business growth within the oil and gas sector by identifying, developing, and securing high-value opportunities.

The role requires deep industry knowledge, strong commercial acumen, and established relationships within key oil and gas organizations including NNPC, Shell, and other major operators.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Opportunity Identification:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil and gas sector.

Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate target clients including NNPC, Shell, and other IOCs/indigenous operators.

Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Client Relationship Management:

Leverage existing network and relationships within oil and gas companies to generate business leads.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.

Tendering & Proposal Management;

Lead and coordinate preparation of technical and commercial proposals.

Review RFQs, ITTs, and bid documents to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Market Intelligence & Strategy:

Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.

Provide strategic insights for business positioning and growth.

Contract Negotiation & Closure:

Lead negotiations and drive closure of contracts.

Ensure alignment with company commercial objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

8–12 years’ experience in Business Development within the oil and gas industry.

Strong, verifiable network within NNPC, Shell, and other operators.

Proven track record of winning contracts.

Key Competencies:

Strong commercial and negotiation skills

Deep understanding of oil and gas sector

Strategic thinking and market positioning

High level stakeholder engagement

Additional Requirements:

Must have strong industry contacts within oil and gas companies.

Ability to operate independently at a senior level.

Age range: Not more than 40 years.

Salary

N1,500,000 per month.
