Location: Maryland, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid) Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Support month-end and quarter-end close activities with precise reporting and variance explanations. Present financial results and deviations with recommendations for corrective action. Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build, maintain, and refine dynamic financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow. Analyze multiple business scenarios and assess their impact on financial performance. Continuously update models with relevant assumptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with business realities. Data Analysis & Insights: Perform trend and variance analyses to identify financial risks and opportunities. Translate complex data into actionable insights and clear business recommendations. Conduct risk assessments to ensure financial integrity and compliance. Investor relations coordination: Lead Trade Lenda’s capital-raising initiatives across equity, venture debt, and institutional financing, including preparing investor materials, financial models, and due diligence documentation. Structure and negotiate funding terms, ensuring optimal capital efficiency and compliance with regulatory and corporate governance standards. Provide strategic insights to the executive team and board on financial trends, valuation, and capital market opportunities to inform key business decisions. Strategic & Business Support: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify cost savings, revenue opportunities, and investment prospects. Develop business cases for new initiatives and strategic projects. Contribute to long-term financial planning and performance improvement strategies FinTech Integration & Innovation: Evaluate and implement FinTech tools to automate, optimize, and enhance financial processes. Collaborate with internal teams to integrate technology solutions into existing systems. Stay current with emerging FinTech trends, products, and regulations to maintain a competitive edge. Collaboration & Leadership: Communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams focused on growth and efficiency. Build and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and industry professionals. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA/CFA is a plus). Being an ACA/ICAN Professional is a must Experience should be 5 – 8 years in Financial analysis, strategy, or related FinTech roles. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with BI or analytics tools preferred. Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to translate data into business impact.
