Job Summary

The SME Deposit Product Manager/Analyst is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing deposit products and propositions tailored to the needs of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The role focuses on driving deposit mobilization, enhancing customer value, and ensuring profitability through data-driven insights, market research, product innovation, and effective portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development and Management:

Develop and manage SME deposit products (current, savings, term deposits, and hybrid accounts) aligned with the bank’s SME strategy.
Review and refine product features, pricing, and benefits based on market feedback and competitive benchmarking.
Design product bundles (payments, collections, digital tools) that increase customer stickiness and value.
Ensure all SME deposit products comply with regulatory, risk, and internal policy requirements.
Market and Competitor Analysis:

Conduct periodic market research to understand SME customer behavior, pain points, and emerging opportunities.
Benchmark competitors’ SME deposit offerings and recommend innovative propositions to differentiate the bank.
Generate insights on deposit trends across sectors, regions, and customer segments to inform strategy.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Track key product metrics — deposit volumes, account growth, cost of funds, product profitability, and customer activity.
Prepare monthly performance dashboards and business reviews for management.
Customer and Channel Engagement:

Work closely with SME Relationship Managers, branches, and digital teams to drive product adoption and growth.
Support marketing and communication teams with product campaigns and customer education initiatives.
Gather customer feedback through surveys, focus groups, and frontline insights to guide product improvements.
Strategic and Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Compliance to deliver seamless SME deposit processes.
Partner with Digital Banking to enhance online account opening, collections, and liquidity management capabilities for SMEs.
Support funding and liquidity strategy by designing competitive deposit propositions that attract low-cost SME funds.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or professional certification is an advantage).
5–8 years’ experience in product management, SME banking, or retail deposit management in a commercial bank.
Demonstrated success in developing and growing deposit products or portfolios.
Salary
N1,500,000 – N2,000,000 Monthly.
